Dr. Odumosu is a Pharmaceutical Microbiologist with a focus on antimicrobial agent and chemotherapy, genetics and drug resistance in bacteria as well as quality control of consumables and sterile pharmaceutical products.
His research activities also involves bioprospecting potential antimicrobials and bioactive compounds from various biological sources (aquatic and terrestrial) and screening of pharmaceutical products essential to the public health. His overarching issues of concern are threat of extensively drug resistant and pandrug-resistant bacteria and their genetic basis / mechanisms of resistance to antimicrobial agents. He had his first degree in Microbiology at Olabisi Onabanjo in 2002; obtained his Masters and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Microbiology in 2008 and 2013 respectively from University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a lecturer at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He belong to many scientific body such as American Society of Microbiology (ASM), Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM), He is an Executive member of the Nigerian society for Microbial Ecology (NSME) and also the Publicity Secretary of Nigerian Society for Microbiology (NSM).
Aminu Bukar, born on the 19th April, 1970 in Tudunwada, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.
