The above symptoms graph shows likely symptoms based on population density and infected population.

20 steps and keys to preventing community spread of the virus in addition to latest updated Communique.

  1. Social distancing is key. Avoid large crowds and places as the more the population of individuals in an area, the likely the possibility of an infected individual being among them, hence the possibility of large scale viral transmission.
  2. As much as possible stick to a sexual partner. It is most likely that sexual activity between an infected and an uninfected individual can lead to transmission of the virus.
  3. Drink lots of water and fruits during this period. This helps to keep the cells hydrated and agile enough to fight off infections.
  4. Avoid traveling to areas where there has been a recent wide scale occurrence of Covid-19 infection as it is most likely the virus is widespread in such areas, hence, the huge possibility of contracting the virus
  5. As much as possible, wash your hands often and always wash your hands after touching surfaces like door knobs, metal and wood surfaces, e.t.c as this virus can cling to these surfaces and to the hands of individuals without knowing. Usage of alcohol based sanitizers is advised.
  6. Avoid traveling unnecessarily. Most people get infected while in transit as people can cough or sneeze thereby leaving aerosols of the virus in the atmosphere. So, it is best to stay indoors pending when the pandemic subsides.
  7. Clean your homes and surroundings with substances capable of detoxifying the environment e.g Dettol, Izal, e.t.c
  8. If infected, avoid self medication. Seek the help of a health professional. If you can feel symptoms of the diseases, seek to see a medical professional urgently
  9. Always flush the toilets and clean other surfaces thoroughly as germs are bound to congregate in these areas.
  10. Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine have been shown to alleviate the effects of Covid-19 according to the US Food and Drug Administration. However, research is ongoing and no approved cure or vaccine exists till date
  11. Avoid touching your face and shaking hands indiscriminately. These are common ways the virus spreads.
  12. Avoid very cold environments if need be. Though heat does not really have much effect on the virus, however, at low temperatures, they thrive and are viable for hours.
  13. Wash your clothes and shoes regularly to avoid having particles of the virus possibly clinging onto these items
  14. Avoid using your hands to cover your nose while sneezing. If you were infected, you will be infecting all those you will be giving handshakes and hugs, possibly.
  15. Wash your hands thoroughly while cooking so you do not possibly transmit the virus via your hands into the food.
  16. If you are infected, do not be anxious, anxiety does more harm than your present condition.
  17. Isolate yourself if you are infected and avoid handshakes, large crowds if uninfected.
  18. Do not abuse antibiotics. Using random antibiotics, chemicals e.t.c is very dangerous. It leads to development of AntiMicrobial resistance in bacteria and some other prokaryotes. This does more harm to the world population than you can imagine as new resistant strains of bacteria will emerge as a result of such abuse
  19. If in a critical condition, i.e during the final stages of the disease. It is important you are placed on a ventilator as the virus infects and gradually lyses the cells of the lungs thereby leading to difficulty in breathing.
  20. If you ever feel like you are drowning or have shortness of breath, call or seek for medical help immediately
